Welding

A Highly Skilled Coded Workforce

Welding is at the heart of any sheet metal fabrication.

Enterprise UK operate a highly skilled coded workforce, that are trained in all types of welding ensuring that we meet your commercial needs and expectations.

Components that require welding are jigged using high precision welding fixtures that are made in-house to meet our exact requirements, minimising handling time and giving a fast turnaround.

MIG

Mig Welding (Metal Inert Gas Welding) or Mag Welding (Metal Active Gas Welding) welding is the most popular of the arc welding processes, this is mainly because Mig Welding is fairly easy and versatile.

Mig Welding strikes an arc between a continuously fed Mig Welding filler wire and the workpiece, whilst protecting the welding arc from oxidisation by pouring a shielding gas over the weld pool. The choice of weld shielding gas will depend on the material being used and the quality required.

TIG

In TIG Welding (Tungsten Inert Gas Welding) the Tig Welder strikes an arc between a tungsten Tig welding electrode and the workpiece. A separate Tig welding filler wire can be added to the weld pool as necessary. The weld pool is protected from oxidisation by pouring an inert welding gas (usually Argon) over the weld pool, this welding gas is usually turned on and off by the Tig Welder.
